How the comparison works
The tool finds the header row and the designator, MPN, manufacturer, quantity, value and DNP columns from common names used by Altium, KiCad, Eagle, OrCAD and distributor exports. If a column is wrong, choose it yourself under the file.
Designator ranges such as R1-R4 are expanded. By designator, a line is changed when its MPN, manufacturer, value or DNP status differs; a field is compared only when both files have that column. By MPN, the fitted quantities and the designator lists are compared; lines without an MPN are grouped by their value.
DNP is read from a DNP or fitted column, or from words such as DNP, DNF or not fitted in the value. The CSV export contains the current view with both revisions side by side.
