BOM lifecycle and stock checker

Find obsolete, not-recommended and hard-to-get parts in your bill of materials before they stop your production.

Open your BOM as .xlsx, .csv or .txt, or paste a list of part numbers. For every manufacturer part number the checker asks the distributors Mouser, DigiKey, Farnell and TME and shows the lifecycle status, whether the part is in stock, the datasheet and alternates the distributor lists.

No prices are shown: component prices depend on quantity and date, and we confirm them per BOM in the quote.

The BOM file stays in your browser. Only the part numbers and manufacturer names are sent to our server for the lookup.

The BOM checker needs JavaScript. You can also send the BOM with a quote request and we check it for you.

How the check works

The distributors are asked in the order Mouser, DigiKey, Farnell, TME; the first that lists the exact part number answers. Lifecycle wordings of the distributors are mapped to four states:

  • Active - in production.
  • Not for new designs - NRND: still sold, but the manufacturer advises against new designs.
  • End of life - obsolete, discontinued or last-time buy.
  • Unknown - the distributor gives no lifecycle information.

Results are kept for up to 24 hours per part number, so a repeated check is fast. Each address can run a limited number of checks per hour, and the number of lookups per day is limited; parts beyond the daily limit show as not checked.

The result is a quick indication from distributor catalogues, not a guarantee of availability. Confirm critical parts with the manufacturer before a production release.

In our quotes the lifecycle of every active component is checked, end-of-life parts are flagged early and alternates or a last-time buy are proposed; nothing is substituted without your written approval. With a complete file set the quote comes usually the same working day, at most within 1 working day.
